Dries finished his Bachelor Dance at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp and had many teachers such as Peter Jasko, Tony Vezich, David Hernandez, Masha Kolekova, Vittoria De Ferrari, Navala (Niku) Chaudhari, Iñaki Azpillaga, Ricardo Ambrozio, Anton Lachky and many others. Since then he has danced in productions by Agostina D'alessandro, Isabelle Beernaert, Thierry Smits (Cie Thor), Anton Lachky en Wim Vandekeybus (Ultima Vez). Since 2011 he deepened in teaching, coaching, and choreographing. Every year his choreographies conquer many big stages in Flanders. He gives workshops all over Belgium, The Netherlands and China. Over the years he has developed his type of work, the "Energy Recycling Method". He works from the strong center of the body and the laws of physics. He combines this knowledge with different floorwork techniques, acrobatics, and organic movement to unlock a unique opportunity to express oneself with power, size, stability, and fluidity. ​ In 2024, Dries was able to introduce his method to the professional dance field in China. Teaching workshops and dance intensives to enrich the local contemporary dance community.
